Prospective MSc Students

If you are interested in pursuing an MSc Degree in Economics at UFU you must have a bachelor´s or associate degree in any field of study. Prospective Master’s International Students may contact the Graduate in Economics office (E-mail: ppge@ufu.br) for further information on the admission process.

Program Requirements

Students enrolled in PPGE´s Master's Degree in Economics are expected to spend the equivalent of at least one year, and at most two years, in full-time study.  The minimum course requirements are 56 credits, of which:

• 20 credits in compulsory subjects;
• 8 credits in optional subjects;
• 1 credit in Foreign Language Proficiency;
• 3 credits in a Qualifying Exam;
• 4 credits in Master’s Thesis.

Minimum time frame requirement to complete the Master’s Degree: 12 months

Maximum time frame requirement to complete the Master’s Degree: 24 months
